Hello friends!
Thanx for visiting my page 🙂 Firstly, I am not a chef or a cook by any standard. I am just an Indian housewife who is a big foodie! I love to eat and I love to cook for my family and friends. Baking is one of things that I especially enjoy as an activity!
Indian cuisine is insanely extensive in terms of the range of cooking-styles across different states. It is a challenge to master the food of your own state or any one state but it takes sheer passion and hunger (pun intended) to excel at a variety of dishes that belong to different parts of our country.
I am a child of an inter-caste marriage where my mum belongs to the north-India (Delhi) and my dad belonged to the south-India (Karnataka). I am married to a guy who is half-Punjabi on his mum’s side and we are currently residing outside our country, in Ireland, where I was introduced to a whole new food palette. Therefore, I have been introduced to the different cooking styles and ingredients all my life.
In the years we have been living abroad, I have come across people of various nationalities who love Indian food. That infamous chicken curry and biryani! This blog is my effort to compile all my Indian and non-Indian recipes that have become a regular feature in our house-hold. They are easy to make and completely tried and tested.
So, without further ado….Let our journey begin!!! You should see “afoodiehousewife” written somewhere on this page. Click on that to view the recipes.
Looks fantastic Malacha

I could not get your name here, will you please share it, if you really want to.
I am very happy to see all the dishes you make.
Like you I am too a foodie and I do not cook but I love food and love people cooking food.
You can see it on my blog, which is evident. I think I follow some more than 25 people all over the world who cook and in return they also. We really enjoy food being cooked, seen, eaten and what not. Haha…
Fond Regards,
Shiva

We are in Castleknock..around half an hour away from the main Dublin city centre. We went to Wicklow (Glendalough) some months back for a weekend and had such a beautiful time. I have written a detailed article about our trip there on my travel blog too. (https://anoldsole.org/2016/03/28/weekend-retreat-glendalough/) We also went to kerry last summer. Stunning is the word for the Irish countryside! 🙂
